Founded in 1903, Fauna & Flora International (FFI) is the world’s longest established international conservation organisation. Our vision is to create a sustainable future for the planet where biodiversity is conserved by the people living closest to it. We aim to do this through the conservation of threatened species and ecosystems worldwide, choosing solutions that are sustainable, based on sound science and take account of human needs. We have become a trusted entity in the world of conservation. Today FFI is active in over 40 countries.
FFI is seeking a Technical Specialist, Protected Area Management, to oversee the implementation of FFI’s approach to site protection in the Sapo Landscape. The programme’s key objectives are to:

This role will be responsible for strengthening stakeholder capacity in forest and biodiversity protection and for supporting the effective management of SNP and surrounding forests through the implementation of the newly revised SNP Management Plan. The SNP Management Plan objectives are based on a well-defined and collaboratively developed community-based natural resource management approach.
We are looking for an individual who has a strong capacity building background, who is experienced in conservation and protected area management, solution-focused and ideally with experience in implementing collaborative and integrated approaches to park management in Africa.
